I hope O would stay on the staff if LSU pulls Fisher or Herman, but there's a chance he wouldn't. I also could see Kiffin getting a look if neither of those choices work out based on his offensive ability, but that's not very likely this year.
We are probably the only two on board, but I'm on the Kiffin train as well. I think he has come a loooong way since his previous coaching stints. He is an exceptional offensive mind who is every bit as much the reason for Bama winning as Saban. He will be an excellent recruiter. Kiffin will also not neglect the D like a lot of offensive minded coaches. I never thought I'd be saying I'd welcome Kiffin.
I could see kiffin as something other than HC. It sounds like the words over my dead body apply to kiffin for HC in the administration.
I'm not really a Kiffin fan. I think he is great as an OC when he has someone supervising him. Not sure how things would go with him having the keys to the program. His last 2 ventures didn't fare well, and UT almost got into a lot of trouble the way he did things in his short time there. With the right HC in place I would welcome him as OC tho.
This game was also a painful reminder that LSU is in need of more physical OL and DL play. Whether Oeaux, Herman, Jimbo, Kiffin, Fleck, etc as coach, LSU needs better recruiting and OL coaching. I think the DL just needs more size, we don't have the big boys we once did. I do like Alexander and Lawrence though.
Going small on both lines has definitely hurt us... Look forward to getting the big uglies back to being "big"...
To be fair he wasn't terrible at Tennessee and he was just hired to be the patsy while on probation at USC. His personality leaves little to be desired but he is a good coach.
Now I know how it feels to be TigerTap, the lone voice of reason. If you had 8th graders against 5th graders you'd look brilliant also.
