I'm sure it's already been mentioned, but I want to be sure of it. When I saw Simon in the game, I was excited. Bama noticed that he was in the game and tried picking on him 2 plays in a row. The young man stepped up and made some stops and played with confidence. What a tremendous athlete with tons of confidence. Kudos to the coaching staff for coaching him up, giving him confidence and calling his #. Kudos to Tharold Simon and the rest of the unbelievable freshmen for stepping up and being a Tiger when asked to be a Tiger.:tigereye:
Great job by Simon, he got burned on the first play he was in by Maze up the right sideline, luckily the ball was overthrown, but he came back on the next play to break up a Julio Jones pass, and made some big tackles. Also Eric Reid did a wonderful job filling in for Taylor as did Loston. LSU has some scary, scary depth in the defensive backfield.
I was trying to figure out who was in as replacements. Hard to see names from 234. Excellent job by these guys.
Loston is a beast! He and Reid are going to hurt some people. Mathieu is a playmaking machine and Simon looked good. Future looks good for the defensive backfield!
