It's been obvious since Matt Flynn went on to greener pastures in the NFL that we have had a serious WANT to have a big-time QB as a stable part of our offense. Looks like Coach Miles really went after ZM some time ago and made a terrific impression on this high caliber recruit. From today's Advocate: "Part of Mettenberger’s attraction was the fact that Miles was one of the first – and most persistent – coaches to call when his Georgia career came to a sudden halt. “The coaches (at LSU) are all really great guys who made me feel at ease with the process and my decision,” Mettenberger said in an interview with Shea Dixon of www.TigerSportsDigest.com. “Les is a guy who is very blue collar like most of America, which I love." ------------------------------------------------ Honestly I think Miles gets alot of blame sometimes that he doesn't deserve and sometimes gets under-appreciated for keeping LSU on a solid track for the future. This is a big win for the Coach and LSU overall. Thanks Coach!
Well ... I'll hold my judgement until next season. If I see JJ walk out on the field instead of ZM ... I'll say that Les Miles is an IDIOT!!
