Thank you for possibly having the worst coaching performance in the history of college football when your Mountaineers choked the game away vs Pitt. You obviously did not properly prepare them, seemed as though you took your opponent lightly, and definitely game managed your team into a loss and a chance at the national championship. And now you relieve our team of constant badgering about whether our head coach is a liar and is actually going to take the Michigan job. Thank you. We owe you a part of this trophy. You can start beating the crap out of Ohio State next season after we show you how it's done on January 7th.
Actually, I read today where there may be a lil snag in his hiring. He's threatened to sue WV for what happens to be the same dollar amount of his buyout. Something about WVU not fulfilling their contractual obligations about facilities. I doubt this would stop the hiring from going through- or would it? Is the buyout on him or UM? I'm pretty sure the hiring university picks it up but if it exceeds what UM is willing to fork over, it may delay the transition. I dunno, just thinking out loud, someone help me out on the process/buyout "Stuff".
yep, from all established reports she is still using those damn aerosol cans. I assume you think he did a standup job in "almost" beating a 28 point underdog Pitt team. That it wasn't his fault, his players just choked. Yeah.
I didn't hear anything about facilities but I wouldnt doubt it. I also heard they didnt give his assistants the raises they promised, did not waive the $5 ticket fee that HS coaches had to pay to get in to the games, and some control over sideline pass distribution, etc...
its not gonna prevent him from being hired. no one wants a coach who doesnt want to be there so its not like he would have to go back. it will just be a pissing contest over percentages that suits will decide.
I could give a damn less who took the Mich job, just as long as we can finally put this thing to rest and get the freakin monkey of our backs. Course knowing how the ESPN boys, they'll have Les coaching the Packers next year! :tigereye::tigereye::tigereye::tigereye::tigereye:
RRod is probably trying to whittle down the payout from 4M to something more manageable with this argument about WVU not delivering its promises. This is the same tack that the former WVU basketball coach made when he jumped to Michigan- by arguing that WVU didn't fufill its promises, he only had to pay 1.5M to a charity instead of the 2.5M as stated in his contract. (In that case, the basketball coach was responsible for the payout but its still unclear if RRod has to pay for the 4M himself. Its such a large sum that its hard to imagine he's going to pay for it, but then again, maybe that's why RRod is making this thing so public). And, I think WVU is going to lose their women's soccer coach to Michigan this year as well as losing their football coach and basketball coah to Michigan? The WVU athletic program is such a mess when you look at the number of succesfull coaches who are leaving the program. I think I read somewhere that they even lost a championship-winning coach to high school.
