I still don't hate Miles. I appreciate all the many good things about him and the person he is off the field. Also even though it is 100% his fault, I hate to see him go out this way. The administration should have given him a respectable way to bow out after last season. However I am not the least bit sad to see him go. It was long past time that both parties moved on. I'm still baffled by his unwillingness to adapt to today's game and recognize that there was an overly obvious problem. He did this to himself and that's a shame. I'm more than ready to move on.
Thanks Coach. It was seldom dull. And despite the record winning percentage, you shone even more for your class, dignity and obvious genuine concern for the players, University and community. You showed it is possible to win and be a good guy at the same time. One can point to a great many programs who cannot say the same. You'll always be a Tiger! All the best.
This clip will always bring a big smile to my face. But this thought just occurred to me....This was Miles finest hour, and it lasted about 45 seconds. If he'd had that kind of clock management on the sidelines, he might still be the head coach of LSU. Have a great day.
I agree it was Miles finest hour. Years ago I used to watch that clip before the start of every season to get hype for the season.
well the underlying story is les was really headed to michigan til herbie forced les to make that statement. not sure whether to thank herbie or cuss him.
