The D played well enough to get us a W. The D held UF to 13 pts. and just a bit over 300 yds. Not too shabby if you ask me...

The blame lays squarely on the O tonight.

    Sorry, very poor defense scheme.

You ain't going to win either a SEC or national championship playing that stupid Tennessee crap prevent defense... the defense can't get anyone off the field.

Florida wasn't playing to score 100 on them. Heck why in the hell would you do that when they are playing prevent the whole game.... they couldn't get Florida off the field just like all the other teams they played.

But then Florida wasn't exactly playing to score 50 points tonight. They were playing to keep the ball and playing for the 1st down. They didn't even think about throwing deep or anything like that.
Our defense played good, but don't get too excited. They gave up wayyyyy too many 3rd down conversions. That's the sign of a great defense: stopping the opponent on 3rd down and they did not do that well at all. Way too many penalties against the defense as well. Was not a well coached game.

Seems like the coaches thought they would win this game based off of the energy of the crowd and the players, that they forgot to prepare a game plan.

I'm not a big Chavis fan but the defense played decent. I wouldn't say he's returned us to greatness though. Florida had a conservative game plan because of Tebow and they still moved the ball at will between the 20's. The score could have been much worse. All those penalties on D were not good either.

Folks yeah our d could have done better on d-line but lets put things in perspective:

UF has arguably the best QB the SEC has seen in many years.
UF are returning National Champs returning ALL their Defensive starters.
UF loses Percy Harvin, granter a super play maker but return 10 starters on offense.

    We show up with:
    a new D coordinator
    new defense
    new inexperience QB
    new coaches
lose quality O-line players to the draft

I hate losing just like anyone else but come on, this is a young team and the fact that UF struggled speaks volumes about our team.

    kcal,

yeah, I am the idiot... I am not the one calling a prevent against every freaking team in the 1st quarter.

It's wussy football, it ain't LSU football. You'll win 7-10 games playing that wussy stuff if you have the talent that LSU does... you ain't going to win a championship.

Yes Thank you Chavis for keeping the LSU Offense on the sideline all night. I know that the 3 plays UF called were very complicated.(dive middle , left and right and 1 pass for a TD) Thanks a lot chavis
