I agree. I was just saying that last year, Beckham was maybe the best WR in the NFL. I didn't see anyone completely shut him down. It wasn't meant as a slight against Landry though. I posted that I thought he might be a future Pro Bowler. He is one of my Top 4 All-Time LSU WRs. LSUdad made some good points about the QB differences & Landry's return yardage. But, I think it was just OBJ's year. Will be interesting following their careers.

Exactly. That's why I responded to your post in paticular, about Landry/Beckham. When people for instance, @tirk, admit he doesn't know anything about the coach that followed Saban at LSU, you know his alarm clock just never went off. So it's hard to reply to him. Plus, he always says he doesn't understand my posts

I'm noticing that a lot more of it lately. There seems to be a hardcore group of about 6 or 7 daily posters not really interested in the well being of LSU Football. Mostly, they seem allergic to facts or just don't care.

I understand TerryP's job here is to keep reminding LSU fans that the Ta'hd is just a little bit better in football. I get that. And historically they have been. They are also the most heavily sactioned Football team in the SEC by far. People can draw their own conclusions about how that affected their winning over the years. He talks about the the "10-2" 2005 Shula team. But I don't see him mention that the NCAA has the 2005 Alabama team listed as an 0-2 team, which is Official. Would be nice of he tossed in a little bit of truth, with his propaganda.

The minions are fucking idiots. Welter is gone and they are still beating him up. You have to understand that there is a segment of the fanbase that is only motivated by scapegoating. They whine constantly about the bad in everything and ignore anything good. Most of them really don't know football very well. They must blame someone for every problem and they are quite intolerant of anybody that disagrees with them and try to run them off.

It's their problem and not yours.

Beckham had nearly double the yardage & well over double the TD catches in 4 less games played. Landry also fumbled the ball 7 times, Beckham fumbled 1 time. Landry plugged away as a possession receiver, while Beckham played like a superstar. Landry is a great player, but they're playing for NFL dollars now. No way are they "About equal" at this point.

There is a reason OBJ was the NFL Rookie of the year. There where many reasons Beckham was taken in the 1st round, Landry late 2nd round, against this board's advice. What OBJ did last year was nothing short of amazing. "Big Market" argument my ass. If that was the case, how many other NY Giants have been Rookie of the year...ever?

LaSalle has smoked himself into being irrelevant. After being proved dead wrong, he & da tirk boy would still take Landry. The definition of: "I'm a dumb coonass dammit, Im'a do it my way, ayeeee! Geaux Aints! Now where's my bag?" And for no other reason than He's a "Fan Favorite" & Landry is a popular Louisiana family name. Beckham was doing the one handed grabs in high school & recorded the first at LSU well before Landry was on the field at LSU.

Since the 2013 draft, Big Sam's played on 3 different teams. anyone seen just 1 NFL stat by him? ( Other than being booted for LaSalling his way on the fringes of the waiver wire)Maybe Big Sam will finally record his first stat on team #3.
