Hello Tiger fans, much respect to your program, and if I may, have a bit of your time and your honest opinions. So I'm a Dolphin fan, and we have fallen in love with Jarvis landry..I know you all know this was gonna happen so I don't need to explain why.. But here's why I came here, I wanted to share with my forum why you guys as a majority chose Juice over the great player that is Odell Beckam.? We do a lot of evaluating of college players on our site, it's our hobby and we spend a lot of time doing so, so for me personally, when both players were coming out that year I came to these forums and started reading about your thoughts on both players, after watching the tape, I certainly had Odell as a legit first round talent, and stated to my forum that he was gonna be a star, I also thought that while Jarvis had some speed and size limitations that he had a chance to be a player as well, I just didn't think he would reach the caliber of player that Odell would become. Well, Odell has become an electric overnight superstar, and Jarvis is flying a bit under the radar, yet, is getting notice as well as a rising star.. Jarvis is just dynamite in a small package, great natural ability, great leader and has already cemented himself as our leader on offense.. Why, knowing the unbelievable talent that odell was and is, did the majority of tigers fans say that if they had to choose, juice would of been the man? Thanks for your time, I hope you don't mind that I share your thoughts with my forum. P.S.. keep evolving that 12th man, take it from a cane fan who watched his team dominate on a 56 home game winning streak, it means everything..You are a culture that demands respect, a home field advantage that is famous, and thats the coolest thing ever for a fan. peace man.
the nickname juice is annoying. hes not a double-homicidal maniac. but regarding jarvis, hes a great route runner, hard worker and has some of the best hands ive seen. he's tough, a good blocker and durable. incredible body control and can run after the catch. his career will outlast beckham's in my opinion. both are great regardless. i think i said id take landry first but im not sure that was anywhere near the majority.
we didn't nickname him, my apologies for carrying on what some in the lsu fanbase called him. Its just my opinion but Im pretty sure more favored Jarvis..It wasn't because folks didn't think Odell was great, it was just that if you had to choose, it was Jarvis that was gonna be the player.
http://www.nola.com/lsu/index.ssf/2015/06/jarvis_landry_1-handed_catch.html just one of the grabs he's made in our ota's this year, all reports are that he's gonna blow up.. we are moving him outside this year as well as the slot...good idea?
Odell dropped too many passes that he should have caught. Especially after seeing him catch kickoffs in the end zone with one hand. Jarvis never dropped passes. The UGA game, his helmet was knocked off by a safety's knee and he held on. Plus, he's a better tackler on kickoff coverage.
