Devery Henderson was cut by Washington today, and I wanted to take a minute to say thanks for being one of 2 people to hoist an LSU BCS championship and New Orleans Saints Lombardi Trophy. Devery will probably be most remembered for the bluegrass miracle. Much love Devery and good luck with your future endeavors, hope you get picked up somewhere but if not you will always be loved by the P&G.
I don't care what anybody says, he was awesome for the Saints. I think at one point he was averaging something like 27 YPC? That's insane. But just like all the greats of the past, his time is coming soon, if it hasn't already. He'll be remembered, even when he's no longer on the stage.
He made his bread and butter with his speed. He is 31. That is 62 in NFL wide receiver years, and closer to 80 in deep threat wide receiver years. He lost a step, and when rely on speed you can't do that. He had a remarkable career.
