Fielders choice, basically a swinging bunt because he can't make solid contact with the ball. My little girl hits to the OF consistently

You can "ok" all day long. Cade was laughing at him for throwing to 1st so much. Big Ben even said "no idea why he's doing that, Beloso is not a threat to steal"

That's my impression as well, but I just ran the numbers off the LSU website, and of the nine top hitters on the team, Beloso has the best strikeout percentage. He strikes out 13.6% of his at bats. Still a lousy hitter though, at .230. Best option other than him is Sanford, but he strikes out at nearly 34% and is only hitting .268. The truly best thing is a healthy DiGiacomo, so Arnold can DH.

his job in that spot is to hit the ball on ground behind the runners to advance them.
    that’s what he did.

Technically, yes, but it was a weak routine grounder to the first baseman, and the run scored because the throw was a little high. Best thing I can say about it was that he got the ball in play, giving us the chance to score. Bottom line, Beloso does not inspire a lot of confidence at the plate, but with DiGiacomo ailing we just don't have very many options. Roster is not deep with hitters at all.

Was that our first Regional win as a road team in program history?

Not at all we did the same thing to A&M in ‘95 I think. There have been others as well I think.

What secret? The guy is fat and has a total of 0 stolen bases? Did you watch it? Cade was literally standing on the bag. That is why everyone was booing, including the Oregon fans. There was no reason to keep going to 1st.
