who was the unproven one? Edwards? probably the best most consistent arm in the bullpen closed a few games for us this year. Hellmers? midweek starter has been pretty steady most of the year. Vietmeier? a senior that has logged a ton of inning over the years. not dominant, but not terrible either Hasty? the only guy to not give up a run in this game. Labas? a weekend starter all season Fontenot? our senior closer so who was the wrong pitcher to use? these are our studs. everyone of them got rocked. Saturday Paul screwed up yanking Hilliard when he did and not PH for Beloso late. but nothing worked Sunday. we had our best offensive lineup and three literally every pitcher worth a damn on the roster. in roughly the same order i would have used them. Marceaux not having it hurt like hell. the real bitch was the Edwards injury. that one stung the most.
I’ve heard multiple people say our best guy was on the bench; I assume they’re talking about Fontenot. I just saw us close in the first few innings and then checked back in when Tenn had 10 points.
got it. you have an opinion on a game you did not watch. and sorry i can’t take anyone serious if they say “points” when talking about baseball.
First time was a mistake, second time on porpoise. My opinion on the game is Maineri got his ass whipped because he’s over the hill. And I’m glad he’s gone.
I've come to notice this with him. PM has been doing this forever, especially leaving them in too damn long. If your starter is in there with a 2 run lead in the 7th you just don't let him walk the bases full. He's done that many times. ***not always walks but bases loaded none the less*** Then he goes to the pen. So glad this asshole is gone.
Guys . . .we played them 5 times and we're 0 - 5. The had better players on the field than we did this year. That's it.
Prior to Sunday, LSU lost to UT the previous times by 1-2 runs. All winnable. All coaching issues. We even went to extra innings in one.
