I'd like to see one of Miles' next coaching hires be somebody with a lot of recruiting connections to Texas (much like we brought in Lane for Florida). We get a few great players from Texas every year, and I definitely want to see that trend continue.

Sonny Dykes of Texas Tech would have been a good choice, but I hear he has just been hired by Arizona.

from that list alone, it looks as if LSU does quite well recruiting in Texas.

Yes I also think we're doing as well in Texas as any other state. OU will always do better than us and will do so again by year's end, but it's because of necessity.

Peveto, and Miles' entire staff from OSU, have very strong contacts in Texas. I don't think we need to strengthen those ties - we will recruit Texas better than any time in recent history with this staff.

My A&M buddies hate Miles, because he was getting kids from Tex. that A&M wanted. Mac Brown is Mr. Feb. for a reason, and Miles wasn't stealing kids UT wanted, but he was beating Slocum and Fran for boys A&M wanted. My A&M buds think Miles is a very good recruiter, and from what I can see about our signees, I agree. I hope we get McKnight.
