Was debating this with a friend today. The OU game is so big for Texas that I think he keeps his job IF his team plays respectable the rest of the year. Which probably means losing no more than 1 more game. They are in the driver's seat for the conference, undefeated.
They lose to Texas Tech in November. I have been there for a couple of those "upsets" in the past. Just what Texas does!
I lived there for 10 years and never once entertained any type of positive emotion for Texas or that ugly ass burnt orange.
Wonder how Big Game Bob feels now? Not that 36 points is a ton but nice to see him get his ass handed to him. People in glass houses should not thrown stones...
I'm kind of ashamed to admit I'm absolutely giddy that Stoops and OU lost. I can't stand either the coach or the fanbase. When OU wouldn't end their practice on time at the Superdome and let LSU begin their practice that was the beginning of my dislike of Stoops as a coach. Then he proceeded to offer up many sound bites during that week and even during the game that infuriated me. Then their fans proved what a miserable lot they were both before and after the game. They still have a superiority complex even though they haven't done much in several years. I met an OU fan a couple of weeks ago who still thinks our win was pure luck. I couldn't help but call him a jackass!
Oh like when he had a little piss fit at halftime when asked about LSU being the best D in the country and he said "you mean we have the best D in the country". Asshat, Bob Stoops is a choke artist.
