Here's to hoping they go 0-12 this season.

    Tom Herrman deserves that.

FYI, Texas fans were throwing trash onto the field late in the 4th.

    Welcome to big boy football.

His answer in the press conference to characterize what happened was pretty feeble.

And Nick lost to ULM his first season at UA. To make this assumption after one game is just retarded.

He might turn out to be great, but I'm pretty happy with our coaches today. Granted, we played BYU and Texas was left with a pretty bare cupboard. But it feels like totally different trajectories; not sure Herman would have done better leading LSU than we saw last night. That was a thing of beauty. We totally shutdown what BYU prides itself on both offensively and defensively.

Tom Herman chose not to be a Tiger, so his sorry ass is Tiger BAIT for eternity. I will rejoice any time his team loses, and from the looks of it, that will be often this year.

In time, he may or may not rebuild UT, but bare cupboard or not, he should have been able to beat Maryland. Those were two bad teams out there. I felt like I was watching Plano Senior High vs. Hebron again from the other night...where neither team WON the game, but Hebron lost it.

Herman ( aka the Munster) will probably turn it around, but the biggest problem in Austin isn't lack of talent - that's the symptom, not the disease. The disease is Austin. The culture there has become anathema ( yeah, I kicked ass on my verbals) to football. Austin attracts candy assed kids who rather smoke weed and go tubing at Hippy Hollow. If 'the Munster' is given five years and left the fuck alone without meddlesome oil barons landing their Lear jets on the practice field to suggest plays he should run, he'll probably make them competitive. Otherwise, he's another Charlie Strong tossed upon the trash heap of 'just not the right fit.'

These days even Darrell Royal wouldn't be a right fit for Austin

I haven't assumed anything. I'm just hoping for this result.

In liberal Austin, he certainly wouldn't be the right fit.
