http://www.brettsanders.me/2015/03/...e-court-seeks-to-make-filming-police-illegal/ A republican from Dallas is trying to make filming the police illegal for regular Joe's and Jane's. And... http://www.vice.com/read/texas-bill...-carry-guns-on-campus-312?utm_source=vicefbus They want to allow college students to carry guns on campus. I see a win win for police. They can go to the black schools in Texas and shoot everyone and say they had guns. Then throw everyone who films it in jail.
And these are the dumb asses who are always railing about personal liberties taking away people's right to hold the police accountable. It'll never fly. If it does then I can't wait to get to Texas and get arrested for videoing the police. This sounds like Supreme Court material if I've ever heard of it.
I like them a whole lot less when they do stupid stuff like this. I doubt it will actually become law.....too much precedent from the Supreme Court on this for it to fly. Plus, how in the hell are they really going to enforce this? If people are filming the police then doesn't that mean that the police are likely engaged doing something more important to them than chasing down a guy with a cell phone camera? Sometimes I think these state congressmen write bills like this just to get their name in the news.
Didn't he end up doing time? Pretty sure he did the crime. Wonder if he went to trial with that bird on his shoulder?
