http://msn.foxsports.com/cfb/story/8761024/Burnette-leaves-Texas-after-team-rules-violation ESPN now reporting it's because he posted racial remarks about President-elect Barack Obama on his facebook page. Ole Buck doesn't take too kindly to his type.
oh, he can say whatever he wants however, he represents the university once he accepted that scholarship, which means Texas has the right to pull it from him
I understand that, but how many times is a player allowed to walk onto a gambling boat with a fake ID, be under investigation from the FBI for counterfeiting, get into a fight at a club and still stay on? Yet, the one time a guy leaves something racially suggestive, he gets booted. By no mean am I saying what he did was right or acceptable, nor am I saying that I know his record, but given situations in the past, it seems he is given far less leniency.
He's a backup center. He should have won the starting job if he was going to sling racial epithets on his own personal web page.
And also, LSU has dismissed many backups for 'trivial' violations. Ask Kyle Anderson. Derrick Odom and Perrilloux got more leniency.
