Sherman didn't exactly cut the mustard this season though. I mean, seriously, how many games were they ahead by a big margin only to fall flat at the bitter end??
I don't disagree that they had a pretty forgettable season, but it's just one season. And who were they before Sherman arrived? Nobody. I think he probably overachieved last year, so maybe their expectations were a little high. Just seems like you'd give the guy a little time to turn it around after he's already turned the whole program around and made them somewhat relevant again. I'd also think they'd want stability heading into the SEC. But what do I care? I hate the faggies.
Funny this happened because I had just heard a rumor a couple of days ago that Nick Saban might go to Texas AM for a head coaching job. Wouldn't surprise me, the man never stays with any team very long. Plus he would have all the recruiting talent he could ask for in Texas.
Leaving the bama program for a&m would just be stupid, especially right after they erected a horrible statue.
Well, I could see him going to TX if the circumstances called for it. They could pay huge money, and he would be with the only elite program left in that conference. Recruits just line up to go there, very little competition. I don't think he would ever consider the aTm job. Ever.
This is hilarious! It wasn't that long ago that Aggie fans were saying how they were taking over LA in recruiting. There may not be a more delusional fan base
They can't recruit Houston! And they have a great class, verbally, this year. Half of them are texting Miles as I type.
Yea that was the main point, I don't think money is a problem for Saban but he would get plenty of money in Texas. They are loaded at that school and like you said talented recruits go out of there way to play there. Do not be surprised if after one or two more years Texas AM is part of the SEC lineup. They are already trying to jump over and have been meeting with SEC lawyers and officials a lot recently. The school said it hopes to play in the SEC next year.
