It was announced today that Texas A&M would join the SEC effective July 1, 2012. The next question is who will be #14? I think it will be either North Carolina or North Carolina State. If not either of them then probably West Virginia or Virginia Tech. I don't thing Missouri will be #14.

UNC won't leave Duke. NC State isn't attractive at all. WVU has already been told they're not invited. VaTech has very publicly told the SEC that they're not interested even thought the SEC never even asked. The Hokies have spent the better part of the last couple decades trying to get into the ACC. My money is on Mizzou at this point. However, I think that FSU is a dark horse. The ACC did vote to increase the penalty for leaving the ACC, but FSU fought very hard behind the scenes to keep the increase lower than originally proposed. They also have formed a committee to investigate a potential move out of the ACC. They'd make in one year in the SEC what the ACC would charge for a penalty.
