Think about this... (This is something Porter learned real quick) Pay my own way for one semester or don't pay anything and take a semester off and just enroll on a full academic scholarship in January. Or go to Kentucky in June on a full academic scholarship. Putting feelings aside what would you pick? Minus the hurt feelings most LSU fans, which is what Porter and Lawson are, I think the choice is easy. I understand there are financial difficulties for some and financial aid which is still available might not be enough and some who feel like sitting out a semester is not an option. Hell Porter due to NCAA rules had to pay his own way for over a year maybe two years because of his switch back to LSU. He could of just paid one semester if he didn't let his feelings dictate the situation the 1st time around. BTW, in Porter's situation I think his dad was a major reason he went to Kentucky after getting offered a greyshirt.
Wherever Lawson goes....I hope he is smart enough to study and take advantage of the educational opportunity that will ultimately determine the meaning of his life further down the road.
Umm maybe because it is still Kentucky football which means a beat down most every week of conference play. I agree with Bhelm if the kid believes he is good enough for LSU football pay for one semester and then get on board. At least if he can not cut it he will know for sure because he gave it a shot. He may come in and light it up and show he deserved a full ride. At worst he falls deep on the depth chart and then could transfer to Ol Kentuck and be on a Homecoming team. It is a business decision that is sometimes not pretty and hard to swallow but that is the fact.
