Say what you want about the guy, but he confirmed the current Alabama coach as taking the job while said coach was making his "I will not be the coach at Alabama" speeches in the media. TerryP got killed for that, but he was proven right. Some of the information he provided was very sensitive where outing a source would deny him continued access.
TerryP does have contacts within the University but obviously opposing fans dont like it when you drop information without sources. A little understanding from each side probably would have helped things.
That is one of my only complaints about this board although it is much better than most. Terry was a perfect example of a genuine fan that brought value to this board and only got grief for it. I'm not saying we need to roll over in gratitude but my God, a little class and an ability to be a good host would serve the board well. My last point on this and will go back to lurking.....it is in the everyone's best interest to get intelligent insight and good information from anyone It does not matter where they went to school, who they cheer for or when they graduated.....if it's good info, it's good and we are all better off for it. Objectively speaking, Terry P had good info and I miss it.... :tigereye:
Yeah, it was clear he had the scoop at Alabama. Maybe that was the problem. If he would have just passed things off as his opinion he probably wouldn't have gotten the grief he did. I think he enjoyed people knowing about his sources too much. Plus it didn't help that he would post more than a majority of the LSU posters but didn't contribute a good while before he bailed.
He was right about 90% of the time, too. When he talked about LSU he was telling you what he thought. When he talked about Bama, he was telling you what he knows.
He hasn't posted on here since the day he claimed to have one of our member's IP addresses. Basically he was arguing with someone in a thread. Then said that person does the same thing on another forum. The person said that is not them. Then Terry said that the person's IP address there is the same as here. He got called out on that. Yet he insisted he had the IP address info on that user here and had matched it to the IP address used at the other site. For the record, Brett does not share IP address information with anyone here, including moderators. He is very protective of his members in that respect and safeguards that information.

Hey Mike, I got linked to this thread on my home site. I thought you still had my email addy. If not, let me know...or, register over there. Our boy Barrett is doing real well. Like I said the last time I talked with you he's come a lot further along than I had thought he would in his first year. On that note, his brother Harrison is getting a very strong look right now as well...we've been in contact with him a lot. He hasn't received an official offer yet, but very few kids do right now. I'm thinking TE is what they have in mind for Harrison. Oh, back to Barrett... With our C graduating we have several G's that are going to get a look at that position. I wouldn't be shocked, in the least, if he gets a look there next season.
Considering the meltdown on the UA boards, I imagine he is preoccupied with Auburn's season and Tuberville's rumored departure.
