What can be done? How would news organizations exist without corporate sponsorship? Some corporations sponsor ALL the outlets. I see you called out Fox and "others". If you think Fox is the worst then you don't watch much. Why is it that Walmart, Macy's, McDonald's, Verizon, Pfizer, Chase, PepsiCo, GM, FedEx, and nearly 40 other companies make annual contributions to NAN? Their director once infamously said, "If the Jews want to get it on, tell them to pin their yarmulkes back and come over to my house". That's the same guy with his own show on MSNBC who reports on corporate racism unless they've paid their "fee".
Can't understand them by looking through their eyes with a Western lens, which is what normally happens.
Not sure but I think this is the point I tried to make. Western sensitivity and appreciation of life is non-existent in radical Islam. Trying to understand them is a waste of time. We don't see God or the world the same way and never will.
Hell, it isn't just radical Islam either. Saudi Arabia can lock a guy up for 20 years and give him 1000 lashes for having a liberal website arguing for more freedoms. As stupid and wrong it is to have a liberal website , the punishment does not fit the crime. But the govt. will go to the extreme and suppress any opposition to the established order. Total control over the individual such that there is no individual. That is the way I see it.
Exactly. Turkey leads the world in jailing journalists. Saudi Arabia has beheaded 10 people so far this year. "Saudi Arabia bases its legal system on a strict Wahhabi interpretation of Sharia law that imposes a wide-range of physical punishments for a number of crimes. The death penalty can be given for several offences including, armed robbery, drug-related offences, sorcery, adultery, murder, and rape." Yesterday it was the public beheading of a woman. But hey, that's the nice way to go. "Beheading is widely seen in the country as the most humane means of executing but death by stoning, crucifixion, and death by firing squad is also carried out." Total control through use of fear and intimidation is what they believe in. Wahabbists. The Saudi government says of these punishments that they are "carried out to "restore security" and "realize justice. [The punishment] implements the rulings of God... The government warns all those who are seduced into committing a similar crimes that the rightful punishment is their fate," the statement said. And these are the folks the POTUS was supposed to hold hands with while walking down the streets of Paris?
