"Tolliver and Jones are close to being LSU locks. The Tigers will have to hold off USC and Bama for McKnight". There you have it.
Great news! Thanks for the info. I just hope McKnight isnt too wowed this weekend at USC. Also, McKnight and Jones are very good friends, so that a big plus. Both are visiting LSU next weekend.
Damn, I had forgotten about Phelon. I assumed Chad Jones since Phelon was already committed. McKnight and C Jones are two of the best players Louisiana has ever produced, we cant lose them. LSU will have a great class regardless, but it would be devastating to lose two of the states best. I think McKnight is more likely to go to USC though. I still feel we get both, just saying though, we cant lose them to USC.
I think Chad Jones is the bigger loss as the need for a safety to replace LaRon is crucial. McKnight is special. But we still have Keiland Williams and a slew of great receivers (assuming we get Tolliver). Still, it would be nice to have the next Reggie Bush. Hopefully we use him like the Saints use Reggie.
Florida has managed to shake Toliver's opinion of LSU a bit by telling him things that just were not true. They told him with all the receivers LSU has recruited, his chances of seeing significant PT is not that good. What they did not tell him is that Bajoie will have to go to JUCO, and Brooks is listed as an ATHLETE and may end up playing CB position. LSU has recruited only one true wide receiver. Florida also told Toliver that the LSU staff has not been straight with him. But Miles and his staff are on top of things. They have met with Toliver twice and have begun to repair some of the damage. The odds are Toliver will end up coming to Tiger Town, but Miles may now have a little extra work to do thanks to Florida.
Florida also failed to mention how stocked they are with young guys that could all play WR. Urban is just that type of recruiter. Before this, Florida was telling Toliver how we were losing all of our offensive coaches & so he shouldn't go to LSU.
