thats different. the athletic department is applying broad rules (player cant go anywhere after midnight) not one specific to them (like you cant bring a weapon in my restaurant).
Now, you are reaching to just support your point. Basically just finding a reason to disagree. I think Swerve said it best, and this case is closed.
Also, I don't think anyone has mentioned anything as severe as kicking TT off the team, just handing down appropriate discipline. As was the case with Ryan P, he was given several chances before it came to kicking him off the team. His result was a very good college career at a lesser college, but NFL teams are weary of him because of his off field problems that he has had. I wonder, do you hold the university and Coach Miles responsible for this, the possibility to not make an NFL income, or do you think they did the right thing.
if he was a chronic user then they did the right thing, if it was just numerous minor offenses then its debatable, but i was ok with it.
I would love to see the player with balls big enough to sue a university to get re-instated on a team after breaking team rules. I would also enjoy putting the videos of him running suicides for 5 hrs/day for the duration of his scholarship up on youtube. Lunacy.
that would be the kind of kid whose parents always blamed everyone else (other kids, teachers, etc) when the kid got in trouble.
You mean, kids do bad stuff and it's NOT someone else's fault? Clearly that does not match up with how we run our schools and social programs. If it takes a villiage, then how can it be the kid's fault? I'm confused, now.... Back to football... I predict TT learns a great deal from this and has an azzkickin' senior season.
Well, he didn't sue Ohio State, but the last lunkhead to sue on the basis of being "deprived of his livelihood" was Maurice Clarett, when he sued the NFL over its 3-year-rule. For those who don't remember young Maurice, he was last seen being hauled off to jail after the police found him with a flak jacket and enough firepower to supply a 3rd world country. As for what he's been up to lately: View attachment 13177
to be fair to schools, teachers hands are tied by administrators who have those same blaming parents threatening to sue the school every time their darling child gets punished. as far as that village.... my mom thought it took a village. the parents of the friend i stayed with often had the permission to beat my ass, just as it would have been at home, if i didnt listen to them. yes, back to fb. i hope tt learns from this that he has been given the privilege of playing football at lsu, and that with that lsu will do all they can to help him make it to the next level if that is his dream. however, that its up to him not to f' it up!
