One of the biggest stories of the day at the NFL combine involved our favorite SEC player. He weighed in at 354 pounds. That's 16 pounds less than last month at the senior bowl.

"I'm shocked," said Gil Brant, the former Dallas Cowboys executive who now is a draft day analyst for NFL.com.

"Terrance Cody just made himself lots of money. I'll tell you what It's a seven figure number....
"The Brinks truck just stopped at his house."
"Cody knew when to stop eating, or start working out."

"I would have lost my house, because I said if he comes in under 375, that would have been amazing. That's a great sign. It shows it's important to him.

"I think that's lower than he ever was at Alabama."

The heart of a champion is evident once again. The process continues

Let's see how motivated he is once the check is in the bank. He is still a high risk pick until he proves he can stay in playing shape for a season, something he didn't do at Bama.

I wish Cody all the luck in the world (now that he left Bama). I'd love to see him lose weight and become a NFL caliber player who stays in shape, But how much shape do you need in the NFL at nose guard. Don't you really just have to be an immovable force that shunts runs away from the middle...like Cody was at Alabama?

Yep, I appreciate the voice of reason. If any offense cannot control the middle of the defense your in trouble. Some of the best centers in the SEC now playing in the NFL needed help blocking Mt. Cody (including Remington winner Jonathan Luigs of Arkansas). Even our All-American center Caldwell said it was impossible trying to move him.

The NFL is becoming the poster child for the 3-4 defense.. Everyone has to let that sink in. It's hard to find D-lineman who can play any of the 3 lineman positions but the most coveted of these is nose tackle.
