Had to make an unexpected trip from home to Kileen TX Sunday night/Monday morning... driving down 35S with my MS LSU plate on my crossover and just as I'm getting to the outskirts of Temple, TX there is a huge-a$$ billboard congratulating LSU for 2007 NC. Of course a huge Purple & Gold sign caught my eye.. was just totally unexpected. Then I got to thinking.... why Temple TX of all places? Was one of the 2007 team from the area? Figured someone here might know...
From friend's blog, dated a few months ago. www.andthevalleyshook.com There is also some information in our recruiting forum about it, as well as some articles online.
Only Assuming..... Has tro be to recruit as many kids out of Texas as they can get. I know for a fact that there are similar Billboards that I have seen in Dallas , Houston, Austin and San Antonio. My 10 year old thinks it is sooo cool that LSU has Billboards in Texas and I have to agree with him!!! :geauxtige:geauxtige :geauxtige:geauxtige
Be prepared to wait for a very long time. LSU got into its prime under this logo. It is the one plastered on shirts, ESPN, etc. It is here to stay because it is what the nation sees.... a LOT
I have to disagree with you on that because the one i see the most of on TV/ESPN and shirts is the tiger head above LSU.
yeah, but since the title game, the eye logo has been gaining a little momentum. It's on a lot of the Championship gear, Miles wears it often (a big reason for its growth IMO), and the players wear hats on the sidelines with the eye as the only logo. Personally, that is what I wish would become our primary logo.
The "eye" has definitely been gaining in popularity over the last several years. I would venture to say that it has become the de-facto logo for LSU. I would not be surprised to see the University adopt it as the official logo in the future. Personally, I would like to see the new Geaux font and the "eye" underneath on our helmets.
