Re: Tebow Status. If all the docs say its ok then I dont presume to know more than them-let him play but limit his HB mentalities. I see a two QB situation more than likely with Brantley running the option and wildcat. But they will probably keep Tebow behind the line of scrimmage with as much protection as possible using Demps and Rainey, or using Demps and Rainey in single or double wing style(maybe some wildcat snaps for misdirection etc. with Hernandez, Cooper and Thompson as options). Looks like Thompson is 100% so weve got two decent WRs to throw to now. Will LSU play Cover 2 and allow Hernandez or Demps to find the middle? What will they do? Cover or man? I Expect Chavis to blitz a lot opening up the middle if we can contain it. Will it be a 3-4 blitz? I dont know. I think we will see a lot of the TE and Demps/Rainey for short slants and screens to the middle to open up the occasional deeps to Cooper and Thompson on play action. Can Demps and Rainey get to the outside of the LBs? Your D is just as fast or faster than ours so it will be a challenge. I wish it were on now. So exciting.
Re: Teblow will play Red, I fully understand that and I agree but it's just a huge risk and what a gamble! I wouldn't want to see him get hurt at LSU, especially. I would rather see him in the game but, at 100%. And, I'm not saying back off of him if he does play. I would hate to know that he got another hit and more damage from one of our players. But, if they all say he's good to go, so be it. I'm no doctor, just an ordinary "mom" who worries since I've been through something similar. At least he did have a helmet on, that in itself helped tremendously! I did read a post by a gator fan saying that he had gotten hurt once before (don't know the exact nature of the injury or when but, sounded like they were referring to last season), Tebow didn't want to play but was "forced" as they called it into playing by the coach. I just hope this isn't the same scenario, ya know? LSU won't get the respect for a win with or without him in the game, imo. If he plays they'll say we won because he wasn't 100%. If he doesn't play they'll say it's because he didn't play. All we can do is hope for a good game with no injuries for both teams! I do have to wonder, do you think this injury will have an impact on his NFL career?
Re: Teblow will play I don't disagree. I just think that, being the type of guy that he is, his parents advice weighs heavily in every decision he makes, football or otherwise.
Re: Tebow Status. Can you imagine all the chatter going on in the Gainesville legal community this week. Will he play? Not likely.
Re: Tebow Status. shame on all you mere mortals for doubting if he plays. of course he will. there was never any doubt. and of course his play will be spectacular. all the other stuff was smokescreens. he is timothy dick tebow mind you.
Re: Tebow Status. Looks like more and more are now realizing that he will likely play. Red is even on board... Todd McShay as well but he is from ESPN:
Re: Tebow Status. so does that mean you flip-flopped, sparky? not a big deal I was just wondering if thats what bhelm was insinuating.:miles:
Re: Tebow Status. I still dont think he plays. If he does, I would send the house on the first play on defense.
