It is interesting that this video shows more scrambling than setting up and throwing from a pocket. (and not even much play-action involved) The amount of time it took him to find receivers won't cut it against fast defenses. His feet movements were like Dan Marino, but this was like watching Marino in slow motion. Mustain has impressed me more, but Mustain must be an idiot if he is seriously considering playing for Fulmer. I'll take Mat Stafford any day of the week.
I don't see us signing a good QB for 2 more years. We may pick up a descent kid next year, but when we have Russell, Flynn and Perrilloux ahead of you, its just not a selling point to a kid who wants to come in and play right away. Why is it that every year we pick up a big recuit who was on the line between us and someone else (Herman Johnson, Ryan Perrilloux) the other team goes to the national championship the following year? It looked like all his short passes were side-armed. The video quality was poor but I don't think I saw one spiral.
