They just announced he will stay overnight in the Lexington hospital. Hopefully, with coaches at his side and Florida troopers standing guard.
I do wish they could get him back to Shands. I wonder what the contraindication is to flying him back or if they just decided to stay.
typically they don't put people with concussions in the air. Also, they probably want to be cautious and keep him under constant observation for a few hours.
I am assuming for swelling/pressure and incase of emergency??? Alright I am off to watch Sports Center...take care all and see you in a few weeks!
Being admitted for observation means he has to be there for observation. One wouldn't want him to crash in an airplane (no pun intended).
CT scan: Negative Florida QB Tim Tebow has concussion - By Dave Curtis - College Football - Sporting News
As big as his head already is,,,,,I would think that he could handle a little swelling. I'm unimpressed that everyone on TF's are looking at this the way they are. Numerous college athletes get concussions on a frequent basis and survive, it's the nature of the game. If it's that big a deal, maybe Tebow should take about 6 weeks off to let the injury heal, and he'll be fine.
Just occurred to me that they're diagnosing a concussion even though he wears the anti-concussion helmet. Wonder if the injury would have been more severe in the old style helmet? :geauxtige:geauxtige:geauxtige
Don't know. He's going to have a stiff neck for a while, too. That was quite a whiplash on top of the hit to his noggin.
