Yeah I was wondering about that too. I've got a little professional experience with whiplash injuries and in severe cases they can cause herniated discs. Of course, it's usually in people who aren't nearly as young or in as good shape as TT. Oh and they're not Superman either. :geauxtige:geauxtige:geauxtige
I was thinking that Florida should also be concerned about the knee of the blocker that Tebow's head hit.
As has been noted that was a helluva hit. As much as Tebow is a thorn in all of the SEC's side, noone would wish that kinda injury on him, or at least I would think not. I hope the young man is ok and hope to see him on the field on the 10th. I want the Tigers to play UF at their best, and he is their best.
Tim Tebow made a Guest appearance on the Geaux Show 2 years ago...he is coming back again this year hope his head is clear enough to get a thought across.
My son was injured in a "flag football" accident where he slipped & the guy running after him hit his head with his knee. He had a fractured skull that had to be wired back together in 6 places and a blood clot that was pressing against his brain stem. We weren't sure if he'd make it through the night but Thank God, he did and is fine now! I would like to hope that none of my fellow Tigerforums family would wish harm to Tim Tebow or any of the other boys we play during football season....and down deep in my heart, I know you don't! My prayers are with Tim, his family and his teammates during this trying time! They're also with the Tigers, that they have a safe season, free from injury and the fans who travel so many miles to see our great team play the game!
He's been released from the hospital, CT scan confirms a concussion: http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/spo...terback-tim-tebow-released-from-hospital.html Two weeks to rest b4 the LSU game.
Reading the front page of Rivals.com right now... their headline shows a photo looking like Tebow got knocked out cold and it says: Florida's charge to a third national title in four seasons hit a bump at Kentucky Saturday when Tim Tebow suffered a head injury. The Gators' leader spent the night in a hospital to have the injury evaluated. One thing is clear, Florida is not the same team without Tebow. Tom Dienhart breaks down the winners and losers. From what I heard it was a bad one but he will play against LSU. One more hit though and he could be out for a while. I bet if he does play he doesnt run the ball!!!!!
In all seriousness, I never want anything bad to happen to any player at any point. However, Tebow will be fine, and I absolutely hate that we're the next team they play. Reason being, it just means that we'll all be sick to death of hearing about Tebow's heroism when Florida stomps our butts in two weeks. I'm not exaggerating; CBS is going to cram this down our throats to no freaking end. Will probably have to watch that one on mute.
