I'm glad they're playing in Vegas because I really want to see the game against Argentina and LSU should be in mop up mode by then. BTW, is it true that Argentina is missing some of it's best players? I hope not because tonight's game should give us a true measure of how good this USA team is.
Yes, but they will be by far the best team USA has faced. So regardless, it should still give you an idea.
Well, they didn't win by more than 20 and Argentina was without Ginobili and some of it's best players, but it is what it is. What is the consensus about how we played? We were unstoppable on offense, but I would've expected a wider margin of victory.
I heard Mello dunked on someone hard last night. Trying to find the clip on the internet. Let me know if ya'll run across it.
we're only beating this past olympic's gold medalist by 30 in the 2nd quarter of the finals, that's all.
Besides the USA, are the other world's best teams in North and South America? Thinking ahead, who's the biggest European challenge?
European teams are usually pretty good since they have professional basketball leagues all over Europe. The Argentina squad we played will not be the same one that goes to the Olympics so they are still our biggest challenge. Followed closely by Spain who won the world championships last year. Some other good European teams we'll have to look out for include Greece, Serbia and Lithuania. This team looks to have great chemistry and are really focused. Hopefully they can all stay healthy and bring the basketball gold back to the US where it belongs.
