the original dream team beat brazil by 44 with no NBA guys.

this team beat brazil by 37 with 3 NBA players, including 2 really good ones.

i guess you can be the judge. :)

The current team is pretty good but I think the 1992 team is just a little better.

This team doesn't even have the best team player of the past couple of year (Tim Duncan) so I think it's tough to call it the best team of all time. Plus when you figure Wade isn't on the team either, definitely can't be better than 1992 Dream Team.

Wade will be on the team for the Olympics and Duncan is a Virgin Islands boy, so he can't play.

The US team plays the next 4 days. They play tonight at 10 against Mexico and Thursday against Argentina. Thats when we will see how good they are. Argentina were the '04 Gold Medalists.

duncan has played US Olympic ball before. He wasn't dominant because of the FIBA zoning rules, but he is eligible.

I think Argentina is missing like their top 3-4 players. They finished 4th in the Pan Americans games this summer behind Brazil, Puerto Rico, and Uruguay.

    oh yeah...

See, i could be VERY wrong. I try to block out those days (plus ive been drinking).

He would be an asset as a PF as an outside shooter but Howard's physical presence is much more suited against the International softies. :)

absolutely. inside post play isn't suited for the international game.

shot-blocking, offensive rebounders like howard are more suited.

Most fun team to watch since Dream Team.

39-17 with 1:42 to go in 1st. :thumb:

When its all said and done, Carmelo will be the best International player ever. Yeah, I said it. :)
