They're on right now on ESPN playing Canada. I love watching them. I guess it really is our only sport where we put together an all star team from one of our major sports and play international competition. Kobe has now joined the team and they look better than than any USA team in a while. Of course Rat is the coach, so...
this is the best team since the original dream team and if they sweep through the olympics like I think they will, then it's close to a tie. Kidd Bryant James Anthony Howard all 5 of the starters have potential to be the best ever at their positon then for the olympics you throw in wade. the wildcard of the team is Mike Miller and Michael Redd, though. Those guys don't miss from 3.
carmelo anthony proves in these international games what I have suspected for a long time: that he is the 2nd best basketball player in the world behind Kobe. Dude doesn't miss from anywhere on the floor. The Nuggets don't use him right.
Yep, he is the best on the floor, night in night out. Howard is finally getting that confidence hes needed. I think that he felt overshadowed by some of the stars but now he is aggressive and makes this team WAY better.
I really like the rule that says you can knock the ball off the rim. I think the NBA should take that one up. All-in-all, I think the international game is more pleasurable to watch.
Certainly creates more movement, and gets the big men involved more...which therefore gets the guards more involved. The International game is just more fluid and moves better.
Absolutely. The international game is a better style of basketball than the current NBA. That's a shame, but maybe Stern can learn something. Also, that additional movement will make Kidd the clear-cut MVP of Team USA.
The international game is more like the NBA of my youth. Back when I still enjoyed watching basketball.
well the talking heads are saying Brazil is the 2nd best team in this tournament and that they will challenge the USA, so I guess we will find out at 8:00 tonight. I, personally, don't see it, just by looking at their margin of victory overall, so I expect a blowout. You can't put-down ESPN's try to boost ratings, though.
