If you think that Oregon would go away from what's got them to the big dance, and have a pissing contest with an SEC team to prove who's stronger, you have another thing coming. Oregon will do what they do. Coach Kelly admitted that if he wasn't so stubborn with continuing to run the ball against Auburn, Oregon would have had a better chance to win. He's learned from that. I don't think any BCS team is scared of one another. If they are, they should scrap their football program.
I wonder if sabanfan remembers this play. if not, the potheads are up 1-0 over the alcoholics in 2011 memory challenge. hosted by me.
so i shouldn't be concerned with TRich just because he hasn't gotten more than 6 carries per game against us? and just because he doesn't have 100yds and 2 scores means he didn't have a good game? he didn't even have time to get going, ingram had 21 carries in last year's game
Richardson was having a nice game last year and then scored that "touchdown" on a swing pass from McElroy, and was injured on the play.
i don't think it's for me to say that a 2-time national championship winning coach misused a player, especially a heisman trophy winner and his heir apparent. we were the better team that day, that's that. i like our chances this year of stuffing bama's run game, but richardson still worries me.
Well the 3-2-6 is built to stop the running QB's We run a 3-2-6 Mustang Package when we face Moo U, Auburn, WVU, Running QB Spread offenses. But yes, Cam gave us fits, Tebow gave us fits, considering they were both National Championship Heisman winning QB's - They gave EVERYBODY fits. Bring on Darron Thomas and his flying duck package!!
It wasn't just them, but I get what you're saying. We didn't have Chavis then, but about three or four years ago...maybe in '07...Every opposing team wanted to figure out a way to get their QB's mobile, because that was our Achilles Heel. As a matter of fact, it WAS '07, because I remember that big, slow dude from Kentucky strolling in a 12-yard TD...his first and last rushing TD of the year. After the game, their coach said they told (Andre Woodson?) to look for that whenever possible against us. Things DO change, though.
Oregon didn't get away from anything that wasn't taken. Kelly had no choice. My point is great defense will beat this offense, again. The weakest part of the barn's D, was their D-backs. If Kelly thinks that is some kind of blue print for this year's LSU team, who arguable has the best D-backs in the SEC and country, is beyond me. How has Kelly learned his lesson, if he now attacks the strength of the team?
For a gump you've got some great insight... And your last post, before this one, was like reading poetry. But of course it falls on deaf ears, cuz laduckfan is obviously in denial.
