The big key to Oregon's running game last year was incredible blocking by the receivers. That sprung runs that would normally be 3-4 yard gains, into 20 yard gains.

They'll eat it up all right....10 yards down field. DB's have to respect a running QB, so they aren't going to meet anyone at the line of scrimmage, except on a corner blitz. LMJ and Barner are shifty enough to make a DB miss in the open field.

We are all fans here and look for the best in our respective teams. The real answer comes in 25 days or so. I feel very confident in our lines and think that is the key to the game.
I look forward to all of us discussing the results that Sunday. Hope you join us and wish us well on the way to an undefeated season and another :crystal: for :LSU231:.

I will beg to differ on this point. The LSU defensive back field may be the most physical and fast group that Oregon will see all year and last year. Brandon Taylor, Eric Reid, Mo Claiborne, and the new freak TM. It will definitely be fun watching that group play this year, especially with the talent on the D-line getting pressure on the QB. I am more excited about this year's defense than any of the last 6-8 years. Like 2003 excited. They have that much talent.

Before the West Virginia game last year we were told about their team speed. They finished the game with 177 total yards, that was rushing and passing.

if Oregon has no threat to run in the middle, there will be no end to run around, hoss. There will be linebackers and DB's there.

You do love the trivia questions, don't you. Me too. I think the Chiefs guy is Johnny Robinson, and the Colts is Eugene Daniel. Sorry if I'm way behind on the answers; I haven't read the entire thread yet.
