Blame it on everyone you want, because it's all true (I prefer the Chavis blaming). Blown coverage, awful schemes, awful playcalling, poor execution. All of it. Arkansas TRIED to give LSU the game. Mallett threw 2 interceptions, their punter dropped the snap inside their own 10, and they muffed a punt very early. With all of those mistakes, LSU managed to get a whopping 3 points.
Yes team loss. The Chavis game plan may have looked better if his players weren't getting dominated. The piggie OL bitch slapped the DL the entire 2nd half. Hatcher....well no need to explain that.
The thing that blew my mind is the play that changed the game before the half. Why in the world don't we have 7 guys deep with 6 seconds left. We played our normal coverage? If there was ever a time for a prevent defense it was then.
I agree...but shyt, the play was covered well...if Hatcher doesn't forget that the other team wears RED!!
Coaches are going to get a lot of flak for this (and they should), but these coaches got us 10 wins. Look at Florida. They are just like us. Pretty good defense, bad offense. Yet they are 7-5 and we are 10-2. The difference is coaching. I see this that the coaches won us 10 games, but lost us 2. Take the good with the bad.
To be honest, while not the perfect call, Clay and even Hatcher were in position, Hatcher just doesnt make smart reads and/or plays... With taylor in, the hafl would have ended and possibly with LSU 14 and Ark 7
Dang, due to the end of the game being so horribly play called I completely forgot that Arky gift wrapped a TD for us with the bad snap and we only got 3 out of that! Thanks!
