Looked like they we're ready for that game to be over fairly early. Offense is squabbling with each other, thought I saw jennings bow up at a ref, miles looked exhausted at the post-game. Jennings tried to pump his team up, but seemed to fall on deaf ears (wonder why). It looks like our o has regressed, doesn't seem like we're capable of winning another game. I know my spirit was crushed by the end of this one.
Team doesn't look tired, it looks like the coaches call the most predictable game. I can't believe Miles didn't get destroyed at the press conference for saying "The plays in the game plan for Fournette were not working so he wasn't involved". You are freaking paid 4 million dollars a year to figure that out. I was a Miles supporter but I can't in good conscience defend him any longer. This isn't the leather helmet era, completing a pass shouldn't be this difficult. Does he and Cameron realize that the offense should be designed to get your tremendous athletes open and to make plays. Your offensive plan should rely on every play having to be executed to perfection to be successful. It feels like if any play goes for no gain we should just line up and punt. We have no plays for 2nd and 10 or 3rd and 8 or longer. If I see one more play with only one receiver in the route, I think I will have an aneurysm.
I feel your pain. My spirit did feel crushed after that game. I've never seen anything like it. I was ashamed to be an LSU fan last night.
I know you are just trying to make an emphatic point, but I am NEVER ashamed to be a Tiger fan. Unhappy, frustrated, pissed off, but never ashamed. Love my Tigers!
Fair enough. "Ashamed" is the wrong word, the wrong emotion perhaps. I was just angry last night—still am. I don't ever remember feeling that angry after a game. I will always support LSU no matter what. I know it's not all his fault, but I never want to see Jennings behind center again. Are there any Junior college transfers we can look for out there?
Shame is not the correct word. Frustrated/embarrassed...the fans are correct in the collective. None of us make 4 million annually to coach. Yet, any of us could just line the team up in I formation and hit the brick wall. The lack of imagination and performance brings on words like shame. I don't think we should be ashamed. But, I have come to a harsh realization.
Kind of difficult to have faith when you know the QB is not getting the job done. You know the D will know what calls are coming next. AS the OL you know you're outnumbered. THe RB's know they won't have holes. THe WR's know they will not have many pass plays called, when they do the QB will not get them the ball. Miles also has not done a great job of preparing the team to start the game. Outside of the last few. There will be another mass exodus of players from BR again this year. Recruiting will start to slack a bit, especially on O.
