TCU's best defensive player suspended 2 games to start the season

Odd that Gary thought this tweet was a good idea. Not sure that it is as confidence building as he intended.

 

Anybody else find it odd that they say "Go Frogs" when the Texas Horned Lizard (their actual mascot) isn't even an amphibian?

 

Patterson seems to have that smug arrogance that Chip Kelly had at Oregon and Steve Spurrier had at Florida, with all three of them knowing they have a system that is very tough to beat

but that's why all three of them were universally loved by every fan of their respective fan bases

for example, the responses to that tweet from Patterson by TCU fans included:

--Dam straight! Somebody will step up.

--Love it. GP doesn't give a [expletive].

--I love that man.

--We have a coach that will put anyone into his system and make them succeed. I have faith in GP!

--That's what I'm talking about. I have faith in GP's ability to have our DEs ready for battle come Aug 31.

but outside of TCU fans, not everybody likes him:

--I really dislike Gary Patterson, and I'm not entirely sure what it is about him... he just comes off as a Cocky moron... I really like to see that guy lose. It was nice rooting for Wisconsin last year in the Rose Bowl, but I'm deeply sad they couldn't of pulled it off.
