Being reported here in Dallas... Weird but they will rule that conference and its an AQ so I guess it makes sense.
Not so fast my friend...the big east is bad right now, but they are better coolectivly then the schools TCU plays now.
I doubt that the geographical location is going to play much of a factor with conferences anymore. I mean look at Bosie's conference, they are spread all out. Big East needs TCU and TCU needs a AQ conference. Whom else are they taking though? I would think they would be adding two so they can have a championship game.
Big East = West Virginia, Pittsburg, Cincinnati, Connecticut, Rutgers, Syracuse, Louisville, and South Florida. Mountain West = Utah, BYU, Colorado, New Mexico, San Diego, Nevada, Wyoming I'm thinking Pitt, West Virgina, and Cininnati will beat TCU next year
A trip from TCU to Boise is the same as a trip to UConn. Morgantown to Fresno is the same. Reno to TCU is farther than it is to Syracuse. I think Villanova has their decision which will be made next. If they say no I imagine it will be UCF.
This is a great move for everyone NOT in the big east. Takes one of the perennial non AQ's out of the picture and puts them in a position where they have to perform. I like it. Now if we can get boise into a real conference a lot of this muck will be cleared up.
They need more than two. TCU makes 9 football and 17 basketball members. Villanova may become the 10th football member.
Boise is going to the Mountain West, the conference TCU is leaving. They will be playing Fresno, Hawaii, Nevada, and all the others that I mentioned above. Moore is gone after this year, Boise will probably go 9-3 next year without him in their new conference.
