Perhaps but it's not as bad as this. Hey, we're talking tradition here. What's a post season without SOME mention of the irish? Go twinkie!
HAHA I LOVE IT! This must be a Big 12 thing because the Texas fans were big crybabies after coming to the Shoe. Granted some of the buckeye fans went a little overboard but for the most part it was just good ribbing.
That is the drum major, and its not always a guy. Its a tradition for him to run down the ramp and do the backbend which touches the feather on his hat to the field. Its rooted in the deep military tradition of the band. And im not sure which on you seen but his arms dont flail.
Yeah, LSU fans too. Sooner fans were scared to death of "Tigerbait, Tigerbait, Tigerbait". I'm sure plenty OU fans are ecstatic they aint coming to New Orleans to play LSU again, even if it means no NC.:hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi:
Or by flailing did you mean the way he uses his batan? If so thats just how the old time drum majors moved. http://youtube.com./watch?v=41L75umS_Y4&feature=related
Alot of the "Boogie Bands" in Texas High School did/do this. I went to the Plano-Dallas Skyline Football game this past weekend and the Skyline Drum Majors did the same move and really stole the halftime show. :geauxtige :geauxtige :geauxtige :geauxtige
Those first 4 notes not only send me into a tizzie, but they bring tears to my eyes as I swell up with pride!!!:LSU231:
Me too! I listen to my lsu cd of songs in my car before every game sometimes days before the game. Those first 4 notes about break me everytime! The cd was a gift from some people that didn't know me but came to the capitol one bowl when lsu played and were invited to my tailgate through another group! It was a thoughtful gift that I loved so much! Plus I did throw the tailgate of orlando that week!
