mine too. i've been involved with music for 34 years now (i'm 41 later this month). the first time i stepped onto the field in Tiger Stadium for pregame in the fall of 1984 is still my #1 most intense and electrifying experience. there truly is nothing like it for musician who is an LSU fan.
Didn't Mike travel to either the last NC game or one of the Sugar Bowls (the one where it was cold and rainy -- Illinois maybe)? I'm guessing that was the last time he travelled?
As much as I don't want to say it, I fully expect tOSU's band to completely make fools of us for halftime. Both pregames are fantastic shows, but the LSU halftime drills suck. Period. I did not want to perform our crap "Latin-jazz" show after Tennessee did their circle drill. I wish we would do our Marching Men/Tank for the NCG, but I know it will never happen.
And that would be the one good thing DiNardo ever did for us. I think "Talkin' out the side of your neck" has quickly become an new crowd favorite when we're on D. I know dorsey was quoted somewhere as saying it gets him fired up to see all the hand waving in the student section. (good video here, but stop it before the play starts :nope: See also: This year's comeback of the tank drill from the ?70's? It's a football game, not a sunday pot-luck. :miles:
That halftime show for homecoming was one of the coolest I've ever seen in person and period. I really hope y'all do that again sometime in the future.
I can't belive no one mentioned our traditional corndog smell! Seriously, most of the traditions have been covered. But here's a fascinating fact about Tiger Stadium that I've always thought was cool: Tiger Stadium housed dormitories from the 1930s until the 80s. Gov. Huey Long asked the state legislature for money to build a stadium. When told no, he found out the state had set aside money for dormitories, so he just had the university build them in the shape of a stadium and included seating for football games.
you've heard about him, but now its time you see him. Mike loves that $3 million home maybe 20 steps from tiger stadium!! in case you wanted to see him ride around in Tiger Stadium Mike is a little over 2 years old. Half bengal half siberian. weighs about 250lbs. By the time he is full grown, he is supposed to get to about 600lbs, well double his size!!!!! ps. if anyone has the time, and know how, shoot me a PM explaining how to post a youtube video in here, instead of just the link
