Some info I found on them... measurables are from their Rivals profiles, stats are from Scout profile. Brandon Taylor Ht: 5-foot-11 Wt: 172 lbs Forty: 4.49 secs Bench reps: 11 Vertical: 31 inches Shuttle: 4.39 secs He recorded 30 tackles in 2006 and lined up offensively recording 400 yards receiving and 300 yards rushing. Jhyryn Taylor Ht: 6-foot-0 Wt: 172 lbs Bench reps: 13 Vertical: 31 inches Shuttle: 4.28 secs He caught 33 passes for 600 yards and six touchdowns during his junior campaign. Jhyryn is supposed to be very good at finding holes in coverage, which is why he is projected by some as a WR. Given Crowton's offense, this is possible, but with his height I expect him to be a DB. I'd guess both will be high 3 stars, maybe one of them a 4 but this isn't based on much as I haven't seen any film of either one.
I think becasue of how loaded the Wide receivers crop is this year both Taylor brothers will join their brother on the defensive side of the ball.
Are they both 172 lbs. or is that a mistake? Not that Curtis Taylor has done anything yet to call him a great collegiate player, but it is all in the genes. People just don't seem to give heredity enough credit. Anyone watching the Ncaa basketball final 4 should have took notice at the amount of sons of former professional athletes that were playing?
Rivals list both at 172 lbs. Scout lists Brandon at 195 lbs. & Jhyryn at 185 lbs. Just watched their films on Rivals again, both these guys have serious talent. Short article on the Taylors: http://www.edailynews.info/articles/2007/04/09/sports/spt01.txt
