Tasmin Mitchell today will commit to the LSU Tigers at Denham Springs High School. It's now big time news, but I found out last night from a good friend of mine that goes to Denham. He will probably have the press conference or whatever sometime during school today.
The press conference is at noon., all your friend had to do was read the paper. :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: LINK>>>>ARTICLE

Tasmin is a great pickup. He has big time talent. The only thing left after he commits today is to hope that he is not NBA bound!
The only question remaining for Mitchell is how seriously he will weigh the possibility of skipping college and jumping straight into the NBA. "As of right now I'm looking at college first," Mitchell said. "The only way I go to the pros is if I am a lottery pick. I won't just go and try and throw my name into the draft or nothing like that. I got to know for sure. I've got to know for a fact." Collette Mitchell said she expects her son will wear LSU purple-and-gold, at least for a few years. "I really think he wants to play college ball," she said. "The NBA is his dream, but he wants to play college ball." And he may get a chance to play with one of the Tigers' other famous Baton Rouge products. LSU sophomore Brandon Bass, the 2004 Southeastern Conference freshman of the year, is expected to declare for the 2005 NBA draft after flirting with the idea following his freshman season. But he hinted Friday that Mitchell's commitment could play a part in delaying that leap. "I'm in the process of working on that," said Bass, who attended Mitchell's announcement. "Coach Brady and I have been talking about it. (Brady) is excited about all of us playing together, and is already talking about a national championship. Staying another year is definitely something I'm thinking about." http://www.2theadvocate.com/stories/090404/lsu_lsucommit001.shtml
Asked by a reporter from TETV about his reasons for committing, Mitchell said "I especially liked the fact that Brady cannot coach a lick and that I'll be all on my own because he lets all of the great players slip away. Plus, there's the added bonus of his having absolutely no morals."
