We'll see next November. A&M might have all the money and resources in the world but how do they get players to ignore the stigma of being an aggie? Harvey Williams was about to sign with them unril he heard the Aggie fight song and changed is mind right there on the spot. Any place with all male cheerleaders and a bunch of gay traditions....ew, hurl.
I bought a nice TV. If I want to go to a game and d0n't already have tickets I can always get a ticket at face value by going out to Tiger Stadium a bit early and looking for somebody who wants to sell theirs. Let's face it, The Tiger Stadium experience just ain't what it use to be. Pay $20 or $30 to park a mile and a half away. The piped in music. The lack of any real emotion unless we are playing Alabama or some other ranked team. I had season tickets for years but it just isn't worth it anymore. No way I'm going to join TAF so I can pay just for the right to pay for tickets. I watched the A&M game at a sports bar full of Tiger fans. Ate good food and had some drinks and only spent $30 o $35. And I could see a lot of things on the field that a person at the game wouldn't notice.
I only get to go to games maybe once a year and I have to say, my experience last weekend made me think I probably wont do it again. I will tailgate, and go somewhere else to watch the game. I couldn't see well, had no idea Culp was NOT the kicker, or that the A&M QB was not Mond. I couldn't tell who was making plays. The band was hard to hear and the speakers only on one side of the stadium, of which I was not on, didn't help me hear what was happening. The screens weren't easily viewable from where I was either. And the seating is uncomfortable. If someone gives me a free ticket, like last weekend, I may go again, but I am not paying for it, at least for a while.
Rediculous $ and it looks like FSU called his bluff/were sick of his shit. Good hire on paper for A&M, but I don’t like it (I don’t see him being the one to turn A&M around). I like it in that I think A&M will be sad and sucky; I think that fancy car they bought is a lemon.
