He’s been trending down at FSU for a while.

Yeah, hopefully, he is an epic fail, and we didn’t waste money, but Jimbo is one of only 4 active coaches to win a Natty.

In my mind, two are obvious, one is fairly obvious, and one took a little thought.
    Saban, Fisher, Swinney, & Meyer.

Miles won a NC too, and he was going nowhere fast recently until he got fired.

Unless he gets another crab legs, I see this continuing... What has he won without Winston in a lesser league... The SEC West is tougher to win than the entire ACC... On the recruiting front, it'll be harder as well... Instead of mostly just Miami and fuck Florida, he's going against us, ok, ok light and all the Texas schools...

Texas has plenty to talent to go around. Just like Florida. We will still get our share of Houston players. Too many LSU ties there not to. My worry is what kind of inroads will he make in Louisiana. Fisher must still know lots of high school coaches here.

Long time ago... We'll lose some but get more than our fair share... I remember when we "lost" speedy noil... I don't even remember him doing anything there... I think we'll take more from him than the other way around...

I have a good Saints buddy who is a huge FSU guy. Lives in Florida. Jimbo's loyalty to bad assistants mirrored Sean Payton's same quality. Thing is, Payton fired them and look where the Saints are now with better coaches and better drafting?

Jimbo didn't want to fire his subpar coaches out of loyalty. Will that work in the SEC? Will he be taking those same guys to College Station? He may have ties to recruiting in Florida, but I don't recall him recruiting Texas much, though maybe he landed Matt Flynn for us. Not sure.

Supposedly some players at FSU didn't trust Jimbo anymore and would possibly have transferred had he remained coach, but that's just a rumor. Aggies gotta build a defense to compete. They haven't in forever. Will be interesting to see him battling Herman.

10 years $75m and every penny is fully guaranteed. That's unheard of. No way we would have done that. In fact, it kinda reeks of desperation, but they wanted him and they didn't want the process to drag out, so they backed up the brinks truck for him. But 10 years and fully guaranteed. Wow.
