Yeah kinda like E and O elevating Burrow over Brennan and others. Burrow, a guy who Nebraska didn't want and Ohio State had at 2nd team. Get my drift?

Maybe it's just me, but 2020 was E's chance to prove that he doesn't need Brady to field an exciting offense.

I already had my answer though. The 2018 offense had Burrow, Chase, Clyde, Jefferson, Marshall - and was painfully mediocre.

One year later: record-breaking offense. All of the awards.

There's a reason Brady won the Broyles award, and got an NFL OC job - despite being the "subordinate." I doubt E's agent got a single phone call from another team.

What's slapping me in the face is the complete ignorance of some posters here. Me ignore? Your easy lazy, worn out and boring excuse that play calling is our problem is just that; lazy, worn out and boring. At the same time you ignore the obvious problems. Maybe ignore is the wrong word you simply don't what you are talking about. I backed O since 2016 all the way to a dynamic NC in 2019 while you and your fellow buzzards were constantly whining, complaining and pointing fingers at coaches who brought us a NC.

Just as last year you and your fellow buzzards don't deserve a good team cause y'all are not good fans. Good fans deserve a good team.

Because 2020 is *asterisks year and revenue is way down, I don't think any coach is going to be fired. Until someone's buyout is down to a reasonable level, we are stuck with them. I expect to see the exact same coaching staff going into 2021.

Maybe it’s just me, but I think O bought himself way more than 1 awful year last year. He needs to get better at hiring coordinators (other staff moves have been appropriate), but
Kiki, I think I tend to err on your side of the equation in that regard. But Burrow is still doing really well without Brady, E, or O. The Missouri coach is getting a ton of more production out of his freshman QB than we are. And E and O didn’t really get much production out of Burrow before Brady. I’m not saying E can’t run this offense; I think he can when all the pieces are in place. But he’s not good at innovation, which is needed, and his play calling is predictable at times. I thought he opened up the game yesterday perfectly, and the play calling and design were perfect. But then his play calling got stale towards the half, and we kept going three and out. I no longer think he’s the answer. Don’t think he’s bad by any means.

You’re a sunshine pumper who refuses to acknowledge adversity or roadblocks. Miles rammed his head against a wall repeatedly and got fired. O replaced Brady with Linehan, and has failed in his hires except for lucking into a guy Peyton found. It isn’t like O scoured the nation to find Brady.

Our OL/DL has been depleted since O showed up and they’re as bad as ever, with hopes that someone will turn up in recruiting (how many spots are currently filled and how many are OL or DT)?

According to you, this season isn’t O’s fault. It isn’t E’s fault. With that logic I assume it isn’t P’s fault.

It isn’t COVID’s fault, every team has had to deal with that.

We lost a ton of talent, but a large part of that is O’s inability to get guys to come back. He inherited that culture from Miles and it hasn’t gotten better. Other teams are whipping his ass in that department.

What does that leave? Brennan’s injury. You don’t recall the stale offense being called when Brennan was healthy, or you look at the stats and say our offense was dynamic.

This ignores the fact that teams like OM, who are on the talent level of a depleted LSU at all times, more than doubled our output vs Bama. That’s play calling. This is Kiffin’s first year.

You’re making excuses and they are empty and lame.

I see this statement often about E being demoted back to TE coach. Simple question, why? When did we ever have TEs that did anything other than block the entire time he was in that position. Its the refusal to part ways with legacys like E that separates O from the gnome king. CFB is a business and these guys make more anually than most of us ever will, up or out.

If you don’t think Bo should be fired, think about this: O’s directive to the defense was to shut down DeVonta Smith and double team him most of the game. And he went for about 250 and I stopped counting how many TDs. Think about that. I want Bo to be the guy so badly, but it’s just not there.
