Well, I like boats, strippers and all the sex I can handle. Combining the three seems like a no-brainer.
So what if the funeral was on Monday. Was he expected to concentrate solely on football when the woman who raised him had just passed? There is absolutely no justification for that fine.
no. and he wasnt fined, just not paid for not working. although not really a good player, im sure he can handle missing the paycheck. im sure he's not upset by it, so neither am i.
So then by that logic, any player who is injured and misses a game shouldn't be paid, right? And I think the fact that he is appealing the fine is pretty indicative of him being upset by it.
Players are essentially salaried employees. Why would he not be upset at losing $25,000? Will his career be THAT long? The guy had a family emergency, yet doesn't get excused for an absence? When he has to coordinate the funeral and travel arrangements? Having done this not too long ago, I can assure you it's no small task. Not like gearing up in a black suit and just flying in for an appearance at some funeral home (I've done that too.) This doesn't strike you as unbelievably strange from Vikings management?
docking someone their pay is a fine genius... really??? just playing in the NFL b/c he has a good personality huh...and your point is what? really??? you're aware of his financial obligations?? your probably one of those liberal hacks that think we should overtax the wealthy since they live more successful financial lives. total baseless specultation. your inabilility to relate to this "slight" indicates the lack of importance you place on family in your life.
