LSU gets commitment from arguably the most dynamic defensive player in the nation in Patrick Johnson and the most mind-blowing offensive player in the nation in Russell Shepard. In a 2 month span of time.
other notables in this span not related to recruiting: -LSU WBB SEC Title -LSU fires Brady and is now playing + .500 ball without him -Baseball is 8-1 -Gymnastics is in the national Top-5 -Softball is playing well and is in the Top 12 heading into SEC play. not too shabby. People can say what they want about Skip and his ticket hikes, etc... But he made a real emphasis on boosting the smaller sports as AD and he has done so, big-time. Every sport at LSU is competitive with the SEC, if not in the extreme upper-half of the SEC on any given year.
Let's enjoy it while it lasts. It's hard to imagine it getting any better than it is right now. However, if the football team can keep this recruiting momentum going for a couple more months, we could have a "damn strong football team" for years to come!!! Come on Tigers!!! :crystal::geaux::crystal::geaux::crystal:
Don't forget we just won the ladies SEC indoor track title with the men finishing second. We usually do better in the NCAA meets than we do in the SEC's too.
