    Or it could be that Miles told him not to throw a pass. In which case, he followed instructions. I also doubt that he figured it would go for a touchdown.

    Cut the kid some slack. He's ridden the bench all year and finally gets a chance to play. If Our fifth string running back had run it through the line unopposed, should he have just fallen down so he wouldn't score? Unlike my wife, I don't like to run up the score. I'm an old man and that's just the way I was brought up. But, I don't think we have to ascribe any bad or negative motives to Met. He probably just did instinctively what he's been trained to do since Pee Wee football... read the defense and check into a better play.
