You have a parking ticket, but your ride and trailer are still there. Just getting back from lunch and saw it.
Well as long as she don't move I'll be fine. My father-in-law is heading down there soon to setup the tents so you might see some action down there..
Ok here are three related gripes from an LSU faculty member (and Tiger Fan): 1) All the non-authorized vehicles showing up in our lot today to set up their frames. Many of them have gate-wands, so somebody is letting them borrow them to set up early. Meanwhile, our paid parking is competing with the early-birders. I have meetings on campus today until 5 pm - otherwise, it wouldn't be worth fighting these rabid tailgaters. 2) There's a big group that sets up under the eave of the Design Building and every year they get bigger. They now completely block the sidewalk. They also take down the "public restroom" signs that direct the public to the side door to the design building which they block with their buffet table. The Design Building used to be one of the few buildings on campus open for public restroom access during games. Now that's over, or perhaps these tailgaters are just using the door for their exclusive use? 3) As a result of #2, there’s a growing number of idiots (male and female) who walk down the outside stairs to use the basement trench in front of my office window as their "secret" latrine. On Sunday mornings the prisoners clean up the trash on campus...but no one goes down in the moats to scoop up the feces, vomit, and piss. Ok...now that I've gotten that off my chest, Geaux Tigers! My son and I will be in the stadium tomorrow night sitting in the same seats our family has had since 1969.
That's an unfortunate list. We sometimes forget that this is an institute for higher learning and a business, not a football factory. Granted, the athletics program generates a lot of revenue for the university, but students and faculty should come first, imo.
