We live in Houston also but go in on Friday night. Make sure you leave extra early. With ESPN being there and the hype on this game, maybe even some decent weather, people will get there very early. I might even manage to get my wife there by 9am...or I could win the lottery....
I too am from Texas, and love LSU...Also, looking forward to my first LSU game, and tailgating..Don't know if it will ever happen, but I have it to look forward to...Have fun ! Geaux Tigers..
We will be setting up the night before. Then arrive 5:30ish the morning of. Usually get out there at around 6 but figured a tad earlier wouldn't hurt this time. Bring your pancho.
Walk On's is nice but don't waste your time holed up inside a restaurant all day. Tailgating on campus is where it's at, wear some walkin shoes and get mobile. Make note of the different tailgates that you will surely get invited to via this thread, and make it a point to visit at least three or four. I would invite you to mine but I have covert plans this season, maybe next year? Anyway, my point is get out and about...
